- They have applied for a study permit extension.
- They continue to meet all conditions of their existing study permit.
Risks of Study Permit Expiry and Important Considerations
- If your original institution reports you as not registered or attending, your study permit may be rendered invalid or revoked.
- Before transferring to a new DLI, ensure that the institution remains on the DLI list and is not on the suspended list.
- In Quebec, transferring institutions requires applying for a new Certificat d’Acceptation du Québec (CAQ), except for transfers between vocational training centers.
